The spark behind the story
I have held a lifelong passion for science fiction and fantasy, shaped by legendary television shows such as Doctor Who and Star Trek, as well as classic tabletop adventures in Dungeons & Dragons. My love for literature runs just as deep; The Lord of the Rings has always been one of my favourites, alongside unforgettable worlds crafted by Terry Brooks, Robin Hobb, and Raymond E. Feist. For years, a grand space voyage lived vividly in my imagination. Last year, I finally made the leap to put words onto paper, driven by the desire to build a meaningful legacy for my children and grandchildren.
Creative process and family support
My writing process draws straight from the wellspring of stories I have cherished over the decades, blended with the lively imagination that first brought the StarCryer to life. Above all, this voyage has been nurtured by the people closest to me. My mum first opened my eyes to the wonders of books and reading. Along the way, my wonderful wife Isobel, my son Oliver, and my daughter Noelle have offered steadfast encouragement and inspiration at every step of drafting.
